Kaye Ballard

KAYE BALLARD, American comic actress, born (d: 2019); an actress who appeared on Broadway and on television. From 1967 to 1969, she co-starred in the NBC sitcom, The Mothers-In-Law, with Eve Arden. In 2005, she appeared in a road company production of Nunsense, which was written by Dan Goggin. She has, as they say, never married or had children. She wrote in her memoir, “I found an emotional connection with women like Liz (Smith, the columnist who was Ballard’s road manager in the 1950s) that I could never find with a man. I don’t know why or how it happened, but I do know it has kept me single my entire life.”

She died in 2019 at her home — that she bought from Desi Arnaz — in Rancho Mirage., age 93
