Canadian film, stage and television actor and singer VICTOR GARBER was born on this date. Garber is known for playing Jesus in Godspell, John Wilkes Booth in Assassins, Jack Bristow in the television series, Alias, Max in Lend Me A Tenor, Thomas Andrews in Titanic and most recently, the Canadian ambassador, Ken Taylor in Argo. He created the role of Anthony, the sailor, in the original Broadway cast of Sweeney Todd. As such, he is forever immortalized singing one of the world’s most gorgeous odes to love, “Johanna.”

Garber came out as Gay in 2013. He lives in New York with his companion of thirteen years, Rainer Andreesen.
