STEPHEN McCAULEY was born; McCauley is an American author. He has written six novels, including Insignificant Others. His best known novel is The Object of My Affection, which was made into a film starring Jennifer Aniston and Paul Rudd. McCauley is an alumnus of the Ragsdale Foundation.

Today, McCauley serves as the Co-Director of the Creative Writing program at Brandeis University. He is a Professor of the Practice of English Fiction. His latest book is My Ex-Life, released in June 2018.
