In Yokosuka, Japan, Airman Apprentice Terry M. Helvey was sentenced to life imprisonment for the murder of ALLEN SCHINDLER in a public restroom in Sasebo, Japan. Another soldier, Charles Vins had also been convicted of Schindler’s murder. However, in exchange for his testimony, Vins received a sentence that totaled seventy-eight days.
